Miami Beach was incorporated 100 years ago on March 26, 1915. Carl Fisher, Fisher Island’s first developer, funded Collins Bridge and began developing Miami Beach, which was then just a “barren barrier island.” It is truly amazing how this one man spurred the development of one of today’s most well-known places.
