Fisher Island Club was featured in The Wall Street Journal’s article “Lavish Clubhouses Woo Luxury Home Buyers.” Below is a portion of the article:
“Exclusivity is a big factor today. Snooker is a private club within a private club. There are private rooms there you can use for dining,” said Bernard Lackner, chief executive of Fisher Island Club. Other amenities on the island, which is only accessible by boat, include a private day school that goes from preschool to fifth grade (annual tuition: $30,000), and a proprietary supermarket, which allows “the members who own the club to be in control of what’s going on,” Mr. Lackner said.
